Matthew 2:1-6 (New American Standard Bible 1995)

Published Date

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the
east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2  “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His
star in the east and have come to worship Him.” 3  When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and
all Jerusalem with him. 4  And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he
inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is
what has been written by the prophet: ‘And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, Are by no means least
among the leaders of Judah; For out of you shall come forth a Ruler Who will shepherd My people
Israel.’”

Great News for all of mankind! Even for Herod, if his heart had been in the right place. As it
was, though, he ordered all baby boys (up to the age of 2) killed! The first Holocaust took place
because one man feared for his job, his position!

2 Corinthians 5:21 says:
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.
So much hope for ALL Mankind! If only EVERYONE knew and accepted that God Himself had
paid the price for ALL the sins anyone had ever committed – in the past, now and in the future
by giving His only begotten Son – that who-so-ever believes in Him shall not perish put have
everlasting life
So much Grace!
Have A Blessed Day!
